Getting Started: Courses for beginning divers
 First time underwater on SCUBA.
|
- For Children
The Bubble Maker course is for boys and girls 8 and over. It is fun, easy and safe. Children dive under close
supervision in confined water, which can be a swimming pool or an open water site with swimming-pool-like conditions.
Dives are limited to a maximum depth of 2 meters.

|
- For Beginners
This is a
half-day introduction to diving for people who just want to see what it's like,
or for people who don’t have the time to do a certification course.
- For Beginners
This is an abbreviated 2-day sub-course
of the Open Water Diver program and is good for people who only expect to dive once in a while or for people
who don't have time to do the whole Open Water course. It's easy to upgrade from Scuba Diver to Open Water
Diver by finishing up the rest of the training.
|
- For Beginners
The Open Water Diver course is typically a 4-day intensive program leading to
entry-level certification as an open water diver. The Open Water Diver Referral is a portion of the
Open Water Diver course. Most of our referral students come to us having completed everything but the
four open water dives. The Referral is a good option for students who want to begin their course at
home and finish here. Once you complete either course, you will have the basic knowledge to dive safely
and have fun. This certification is recognized worldwide and allows you to dive unsupervised.
It is also the pre-requisite for additional diving courses.

Beyond the Basics: Courses for certified divers
- For Open Water Divers
This is a half-day refresher course for
divers who have been away from the sport for a while.
|
- For Open Water Divers
This is a 2-day course
made up of five open water Adventure Dives each focusing on a different aspect of diving.
Two of the five dives are set: Underwater Navigation and Deep Dive; for the remaining three
dives, you and your instructor will discuss which dives will best suit your interests and needs.

- For Open Water Divers & Advanced Open Water Divers
Specialty courses are
essentially more comprehensive versions of the Adventure Dives available through the Advanced Open Water program.
In fact, an Adventure Dive completed for the Advanced Open Water course may count as the first dive
of that particular specialty. The Advanced Open Water certification is not, however, a pre-requisite for
Specialty certification, and you may begin Specialty training as a certified Open Water Diver.
|
- For Open Water Divers & Advanced Open Water Divers
While
this half-day course is technically one of many Specialty certifications, it requires no dives.
The focus of the course is on the information you need to stay safe while diving with enriched air
(air with a greater oxygen content than the air we breathe).
|
- For Advanced Open Water Divers
Divers consistently say that this intensive 3+ day
program is among the most rewarding courses they do. You gain awareness and learn skills to prevention problems
before they trigger emergencies, self-rescue in case you find yourself in trouble, rescue of another diver, and
emergency management. It’s a serious and challenging course, and yet, as it includes simulations and role-plays,
it's also a lot of fun

Taking it Further: Courses for dedicated divers
- For Rescue Divers
Strictly speaking this isn’t actually a course
but rather a recognition certification. It is the highest level certification that PADI recreational
divers can achieve. The MSD certification is designed for divers who do not wish to pursue a
professional career in diving.
|
- For Rescue Divers
This is the entry-level rating for divers who would
like to move on to leadership roles in scuba diving. The focus is on professionalism and a deeper
knowledge of dive theory than other courses provide, and it also requires role-model diving
skills.
